LOCATION

Our professional development center in Eastern Europe is located in Kahrkiv, Ukraine.  The choice of site is unique in the sense that this part of the country has a highly scientific community due to the presence of the old USSR space station program research center.  The center is Microsoft Gold certified with over 50% of our staff individually Microsoft certified with a goal of 100% of staff members to be complete with their certifications.

The company offices are spacious and modern with each workstation area providing ample room for every employee to work comfortably to insure high productivity.  The center is currently spread across 2 floors in a commercial district of Kharkov with plans for moving into a third floor.

Our secure electrical system has built-in redundancy, insuring power availability at all times. Multiple levels of back-ups, including UPS devices and auto mains failure panels for automatic switching provide further redundancy.  Further, a fire/smoke detection alarm system allows notification and evacuation of personnel in case of fire. All rooms are equipped with fire extinguishers.

SECURITY

Physical Security
Security is core in the Softensity Ukraine center with ODC facilities maintained through visual and proximity card based identification and physical access is controlled by security staff on 24x7. Access to the facilities is also controlled by electric and magnetic door locks to maintain authorized entry.

Network Security
Our data networks are divided into both discrete segments and VLANs to eliminate data saturation and physically separate teams, preventing unauthorized access to/from segments. In addition, security policy and access control devices are used to authenticate  access to data stored on company servers.

Further, external routers for connectivity between the company network and the Internet provide packet filter protection. In addition, a firewall and Proxy ensure internal traffic policy, prevent the network from unauthorized access, and secure communications between the company LAN and external resources. We also employ tunneling with strong encryption for connection with common networks via the Internet.

The company's routers provide high speed access to the Internet for all company employees with 4 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps upstream guaranteed connectivity and quality from a leading internet provider.  The network hardware and services are proactively monitored on a on a 24/7 basis by an internal IT team (3 engineers).

Optionally, we can establish a secure VPN between client offices and our offshore center.
